Emergency Food Pantry
Emergency food pantry for individuals and families in need
Emergency food served to over 4,000 needy adults and children
The Christian Cultural Center runs an emergency food pantry at Central Islip Civic Council for individuals and families in need. In addition, we have a large vegetable garden, which helps to provide additional fresh herbs and produce. The pantry is open to Central Islip residents on Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The Central Islip Civic Council partners with the Christian Cultural Center, providing families with free nutrition workshops.
The Council provides emergency food to over 4,000 needy adults and children in the Central Islip Community. The Council also runs a thrift store providing our residents with low-cost clothing and household items. All proceeds help support the organization. The Council also has its own organic vegetable garden that helps us provide fresh herbs and produce.
