The Central Islip Civic Council offers a free foreclosure intervention program to residents of Suffolk and Nassau Counties in need of assistance with a mortgage modification. Our Housing Counselors and Attorney provide support to homeowners in English and Spanish.

The Central Islip Civic Council offers public events at no cost to families. These festivals, activities, expos and/or workshops are open to all families interested in attending. The Historic Heines Homestead, home of the Central Islip Civic Council, is the perfect backdrop for a variety of events.
The Central Islip Civic Council runs an emergency food pantry for individuals and families in need. In addition, we have a large vegetable garden which helps to provide additional fresh herbs and produce. The pantry is open to Central Islip residents on Thursdays from 10am until 3:30pm. The Central Islip Civic Council partners with Cornell Cooperative Extension, which provides free nutritional workshops to families.
